SONIC MANIA VR - Mission Mode

By jubbalub

SONIC MANIA VR is a mod for Sonic Mania inspired by the ROM hack Sonic VR that adds 40 missions to play. These bite-sized challenges all have a simple objective: complete the challenge without getting hit, and grab the Phantom Ruby at the end. The missions vary in difficulty, and all challenge you in a different way, be it a specific control, enemy, obstacle, or level concept. The mod feature an abstract, cyberspace aethsetic, as well as music by Anamanaguchi.

These missions are designed to be played with Sonic only. You may choose other characters, but there is no guarentee they will function properly.

This mod is designed for the Steam version of Sonic Mania, and can be played with or without the Plus DLC. This mod WILL NOT WORK PROPERLY on the Origin, Epic, or decompilation versions of the game. A separate version compatible with the decompilation will be released later.

You need to have the Mania Mod Loader to use this mod. To install the mod, simply drop the "SONIC MANIA VR - Mission Mode" folder into the "mods" folder. Next, open the mod loader and check the mod in the list to enable it.

This mod utilizes a cheat code to enable certain functions:

- "Sonic VR Codes"

This should be enabled by default, but it's still a good idea to double-check. Go to the "Codes" tab, and if for some reason this isn't already enabled, enable it. From there, hit "Save & Play" and enjoy!

Very interesting to play, but I would like to point out that it can randomly crash, like it did in C5 for me. I did almost all levels except for those that are after C5 in C zone. Also, it is brutal af to have limited lives in the pack like this, so I'd suggest to add a warning to use Infinite Lives code or add it to the mode itself. I wouldn't have completed this pack if not for the code. Anyway, hope this will get at least one trophy in this contest.
