SHC2022 Sonic.EXE mega drive

- Welcome to Sonic.exe on the mega drive this is a simple port done by scratch coding everything related to sonic.exe
This rom hack main focus is to reinvent how sonic .exe is to the public such as adding game play to the game Unlike sonic forces because the original was inspired by sonic forces ? and also adding a bit of story and new character (not playable characters but characters related to story) this demo includes 2 short levels that being Hill act 1 ,Hide and seek
all of the assets in this demo was made from scratch such as coding and sprite work etc besides a few things borrowed from the original game such as title screen and other stuff
For now you are gonna be able to play as tails will you be able to survive sonic .exe ?
there is also hidden secrets in the levels be aware thanks for playing this hack

fair tbh, sonic.exe is cringe imo its just jumpscares n stuff and like the gore here is just something i dont like seeing.
To be honest, Sonic.exe isn't that cringe anymore. The fan games have more effort and are very scary. I agree that the original Sonic.exe was cringe, but calling this rom bad is an overstatement. This rom is quite impressive and great effort is seen. The sprite work is also great as well! Not all Sonic.exe games are cringe. Just take Sonic.exe one last round for example! It is scary, eerie and no cringe whatsoever.

To be honest i see a good amount of potential because of the foundation of the gameplay being present since the original creepypasta did not felt like a true geniune 'Genesis Sonic Game' even if it's meant to be a executable PC game, however while it has potential as it is right now i am not satisfied with the demo, what's great is the sprite work and the new original track that plays when being on Angel Island level in which everything burns but other than that there is not really much to it
Planning to test it out on real hardware once I get a flashcart, but even on emulators it's a great start!
It works fine on hardware
so just to be clear you can actually beat the chase in angle island zone
and some people got confused about hidden secrets by that i mean the green rings concept in green hill act 1 for now it just pisses off sonic.exe at the ghz 1
also bouns cheat codes : FB000:0013

restores playablty for sonic only works on gens for some reason also toggles the title screen debugger make sure to disable it after each level event

what game engine does this run on, cause i got a speed cap while trying to escape sonic exe
