Sonic 2 co-op Demo

Sonic 2 Co-op is a ROM hack developed by Undying Star and his team, aiming to make the entirety of the 1992 classic title 'Sonic the Hedgehog 2' for the Sega Genesis/Mega Drive, into an entirely co-operative adventure. The hack includes custom music, custom palletes, as well as a fully co-operative campaign mode, even with Tails' abilities from Sonic the Hedgehog 3. The demo includes (Emerald Hill Zone, Chemical Plant Zone, Hill Top Zone, Mystic Cave Zone And Hidden Place Zone!) In the Future we plan on making Completly New Zones, Restoring old zones and adding more endings! But for now, theres plenty of content to keep you hyped for the full release!

oh! well that's strange i do know after getting a game over it sends you to the VS Results, which isn't intentional i kinda slipped that in. Tho in the final release there will be alot of mayor improvements!! including 3 More playable characters!

I hope this hack becomes the best co op adventure yet
Trust me, i hope so too :)
While I did enjoy playing this with my sister....there are some critisms I would to mention:
- When either one of the players dies during the boss fight, both players reset back to the beginning of the stage instead of the last checkpoint. I would suggest to have the player that died during the fight to respawn next the other player with inviciblity frames as they respawn.

- There's no options menu to either select a zone or change the players upon pressing start on the title screen, it just takes you directly to the first level. I will give you the benefit of the doubt that you are planning to add this in the future releases.
- I'm sure someone else already mentioned this, but after getting a game over, the results screen shows sending you an options menu to select the levels for this demo. Not sure if this was intentional or not.
i added a player selector in later versions.
This is awesome. A true gift to all of the ounger brothers that were alive in 1992!!!..
Thought... I have one shameless feature request :') ... As if we have rather perfect Genesis GX Widescreen ability... Could we make a split screen Side by side!? WHOA!
unfortunately that is impossible on the genesis. Side by Side Splitscreen is not a video mode on the genesis

after way too much time searching for a split screen hack for sonic 1 and or 2 I ran into this. I played it a bit with my sister and sure there are some things that could be improved. but I dont care about that as much as I care about finding this hack. all I can say is please dont give up on this hack I absolutely loved it. if you make another version or even make the same thing but for sonic the hedgehog 1 I will be so happy.
I have ideas that would make this game even more fun. and thats saying alot because this is already really fun. but you do you, go your own pace and ignore this if you want. but this is one of the first reviews i've left on... anything. I felt it needed it because it was so cool and saved me the pain of not finding splitscreen hacks. (i made this acount for the porpose of leaving a review on this because i loved it so much, and if you want me to throw ideas out there then I would be glad.)
I had the strangest thing happen on my Everdrive. Sonic died on the first act, and it went straight to the VS Results. Then it went to the VS Select screeen. I selected a level, and it crashed. After a few power resets and trying again, it keep freezing at certain points.
I noticed the contacts on the Everdrive were dirty, so I cleaned the contacts, and bingo, works on real hardware. Childhood dream come true! :)
