The TRUE "Hyper Sonic in Mania" mod returns from SHC 2022!
HYPERMANIA is a mod for the Sonic Mania decompilation by Rubberduckycooly and st×tic that adds fully featured hyper forms into the game! no compromises like missing Super Flickies or half-broken palette cycling are present, (almost) everything is here and accounted for!
To activate a Hyper form you can press Up + W (or whatever you have the super button mapped to) while in a debug mode OR you can play through the game normally while collecting Super Emeralds by finding Super Rings that start spawning in the place of Giant Rings after collecting all 7 Chaos Emeralds, similarly to S3&K (NOTE: due to time constraints Encore Modes' special stages are currently used as a substitute for new ones).
Each Hyper form has an innate ability to never drown as well as a unique Hyper Ability for each character. The Hyper Abilities for the main 3 are carried over from S3&K with alterations here and there while Mighty and Ray have new abilities exclusive to HyperMania. More information can be found in the MANUAL.md file included in the mod.
INSTALLING/RUNNING:
Extract the mod to the 'mods/' directory located in your Sonic Mania Decomp install, make sure that it's containted within a folder itself (can be called anything but you should name it 'HyperMania/' for the sake of transparency).
The mod has 4 downloads available:
If your still running the 1.0.0. decomp releases download a legacy version, if you're using a recent decomp build (i.e. compiled it yourself) use a cutting-edge version.

doesn't work. when i put the extracted folder into the mod folder and open the mod loader, instead of the mod and the name whatsoever just appears a blank mod, and when i launch the game, nothing changes.

Can I use your emeralds for a Sonic 3 Air Mod?
Which Sonic games on this site work on Genesis/Megadrive? does anyone know ? I tried downloading one that uses the sonic 1 engine for the Genesis and when I play the Game with the Everdrive it crashes on the first zone
idk why, but when I create a in mania mode, it starts at aiz like when I'm in encore mode. And when I free Mighty and Ray The Game Crashes
Hello I got an error/bug each time I try to enable the mod, it justs unactivate it self, I check the mods config and it says "HYPERMANIA=y" and when I check in the game it says "HYPERMANIA N" please help me.
Im having an issue where whenever i enter the big ring after getting all 7 chaos emeralds in order to get the super emeralds, the game crashes every time. even if i use dev menu to enter a special stage once i beat it, it also crashes. is there any solution to this?
due to me making the very foolish decision to try and edit the README 30 minutes before the deadline and right before the website started getting flakey with requests the "up to date" linux build is missing, sorry! linux users will have to make due with the legacy version or other means
