DISCLAIMER: This port only runs on the TI-84 Plus CE line of calculators. It will not work at all with older models.

Sonic 2 CE is a port of Sonic 2 SMS to the TI-84 Plus CE. This port is based off of Revision 2.2 and adds several improvements, some of which have been lifted from various ROM hacks of the game, to try and create a more balanced version of the game.

Changes:

  • Added Rings to most boss acts
  • Added the Spin Dash (lifted from pixelcat's hack of the game)
  • Added a Sonic Mania-esque results screen after beating the game
  • Mostly overhauled GHZ Act 3
  • Added a minecart to the top route of UGZ Act 1. This minecart was accidentally placed out of bounds in the original game.
  • Fixed miscellaneous art and palette oddities (lifted from Sonic 2: Enhanced Edition)

Controls:

  • Arrow keys - Move Sonic
  • 2nd/Alpha - Jump
  • Mode - Pause Game/Refresh Screen
  • Clear - Quit Game
  • Del - Reset Game

In order to upload the game to your CE, download the file below and send the extracted files to your calculator via TI-Connect CE. On TI-OS versions 5.5 and above, installing arTIfiCE is required to run the game.

Also, unlocking Level Select has been changed in this version. Hold left while the SHC splash screen fades out to unlock it.
