Taking place immediately after the events of Sonic 2, THE SECOND Sonic jumps off his plane. Eggman is fed up with Sonic and the other guy's sneaky tricks RUINING his plans every single time. He decides that he has to do it, take his ultimate revenge against the blue menace. His plan starts with a quick trip across the multiverse to kidnap a bunch of Sonic's friends and kind of- friends. He then takes them back to Angel Island and shoves them into oval disks that happen to resemble money with their faces on them. To make Sonic's day potentionally worse, Eggman gets Knuckles the Echidna to bully Sonic and then he breaks the shield monitors to display random things that he assumes Sonic will never understand. And last but not least, by coincedence, today was Tuesday, Sonic's favorite day of the entire year. He doesn't know why he likes it, but he does. With his new army in place, he finds Sonic to taunt him about his new plan.

• The first boss from the Great Circus Mystery appears in Angel Island Act 1

• An evil version of Sonic that manifests itself in Mushroom Hill Act 2 and copies your every move, do not touch him even if you're invincible
• An alternate Knuckles boss in his normal area in Hidden Palace Zone
• Donald in Sky Sanctuary Zone
• Somari appears in Death Egg Act 1, try to move around during his intro
• 2 new power ups that appear instead of the regular barrier monitors
• The Rock Paper Scissors which has strength over rocks since there are no villianous pieces of paper or scissors in this game
• The Magic Carrot from Super Mario Land 2
• (The original shields appearing with these can be toggled to be on or off in the options menu)
• A new continue screen that shows what happens when you lose
• A new ending for obtaining all the chaos emeralds and/or all the super emeralds
