Whenever a game is made, there always must be sacrifices, or ideas that end up on the cutting room floor... Either lost forever, or only uncovered from hard work in the community... There has been many an attempt to restore this content plainly and remake the betas of these games...
But what if, we tried to Mix those Proto aspects with Final? Team Proto-Mix proudly presents...
SONIC THE HEDGEHOG: PROTO-MIX!
Story
Sonic the Hedgehog was born on Christmas Island. He's like a free-spirit, a nomad. Everywhere he goes, he seeks adventure... and always runs into a mad scientist known as "Dr. Eggman".
One day, when Sonic and his band were performing in the Green Hill Zone on South Island, Dr. Eggman launched an attack into the crowd, causing the concert to go up in flames.
Sonic looked over and saw Eggman, along with an army of Badniks, something Sonic hadn't seen before...
He quickly ordered his bandmates to evacuate the area, and assist the civilians while he began trailing after Dr. Eggman, whom was looking for the ancient Chaos Emeralds residing on South Island so he may boil the world's largest egg in the world's largest pot... oh, and World Domination too.
Zones
There are six action-packed Zones, each with three Acts. Take note of how each one works to emerge victorious and stop the evil Dr. Eggman!
1. Green Hill Zone: Run through giant loop-de-loops, roll through tunnels, and jump over crumbling cliffs before you get a chance to blink!
2. Labyrinth Zone: An intricate maze filled with water. Solve puzzles and weave between swinging spiked wrecking balls to progress. Remember to stop for air!
3. Marble Zone: Leap across red-hot lava and shifting islands, then find your way into an underground palace where massive weights and fireballs block your path.
4. Star Light Zone: Watch the stars in the sky as you zip around the corkscrews and roundabouts. Use the bouncy see-saws to reach greater heights!
5. Sparkling Zone: A bustling city full of bumpers and springs. Bounce around like in a pinball machine!
6: Clock Work Zone: Eggman’s dastardly base of operations. Dodge saws, fire, and electricity as you rush to stop Eggman’s diabolical plans!
Surprises for Beginners and Veterans
Here in Sonic the Hedgehog: Proto-Mix, we've altered, even slightly, almost every aspect of Sonic 1 in order to blend Prototype and Final elements... This includes some surprises within Level Layouts, Graphics and Mechanics.
We hope this provides a fresh experience to even the most die-hard of Sonic 1 fans, while not being too overwhelming for newcomers.
How to Setup this Mod
The Sonic 1 / 2 Decompilation can be downloaded at:

In addition to this, you must also download the scripts at:https://github.com/Rubberduckycooly/Sonic-1-Sonic-2-2013-Script-DecompilationPlease put them into the root directory of your decompilation. Without these scripts, the mod will not run.
