Sonic: Project Revenge (By Revenge Team)
Hallo, Ich bin RobiWanKenobi und.... oh yeah, English
After having won absolutely nothing last year, we are back with a more featured, more polished, and overall better demo than last year.
Plot
Sonic and Tails are defeating Eggman because he took the emeralds or something, maybe the Revenge Pizza.
What's New Since 2024
Controls
Sonic:
Tails:
Known Bugs
Please do not make recolor hacks of this hack
(I know about the Revenge BBQ and Revenge Pizza, Roebloz)
If you want to know more of the history of the hack, you can look on the Sonic Retro page for it.
Former Members I'd like to mention:
File Type: rom/mega-drive
File Size: 1.93 MB
I would also like to make it clear that this was supposed to be a team entry; it just didn't get around to being changed.
Sonic Project Revenge but Toast and Dogs are working together, dog individual were bad but with 2 dogs. Now the dogs did better the work.
I thought the layouts were a huge improvement from last year! Although, I still wasn't fully sold on the bosses, since thier attack patterns are a bit too simple and can be easily exploited. Also I think the Special Stage layouts were a bit too linear for my liking.
As it is my first time doing anything for Blue Spheres layouts, that is to be expected, but I'm glad that you found things to be an improvement over last year.
I loved the rom hack, despite it being short.
As for the special stages, well...uhh, I admire the effort to port Blue Spheres to S2, but between some bugs and the fact that these stages feel eternal compared to S3K's, I didn't really like them.
Oh, and for anyone who's asking. I found an exploit to get all 7 emeralds in this demo. Besides the 50 rings, it seems you don't have Super Sonic around.
(The exploit is simply to finish the special stage in a completed game, restart, and go to the nearest giant ring you have, until you finish.)
Aside from the odd undisclosed spicy chips promotion, this is a finely-cooked hack, and the freshly-baked level is excellent, although given its incomplete nature, it will likely leave you hungry for more. I am expecting to award a Michelin Star once the offerings are diversified with how good the menu is so far. I enjoyed the Doctor With A Side of Terrorism dessert for the "Rattle Canyon" meal a lot, would recommend. My playthrough: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q2sZVw52EVU
Likin' what I'm seein'
The music choices are OK, absolutely diggin' the art, and the layouts are well done so far. Strong contender here, now and future.
For anyone who uses level select; do not hold A and Start when starting a level, as that will enable debug mode, which I have made put up an error to discourage debug mode usage.
Also, sorry for any typos.
