Returning from the last year! It is time to master Hedgehog's 3 adventure!
Return to Angel Island and save the day once more! This Master Edition actually tests your skills! Do you know how to use Elemental Shields to your benefit? Some obstacles needs Elemental Shields to get through. There is multiple paths to choose from and Few Competition stages has been made playable in 1 Player mode. There is three difficulties to choose from.
Tails is the Easy Mode recommended for your first run through. His flying ability let's you skip areas that may feel difficult, but keep in mind that Tails can't use elemental shields. Thus blocking you out of some goodies and short cut's!
Sonic & Tails serves as Normal Mode. Now you have benefits from easy mode available if you bring second player along and you can use Elemental Shields! In the end it's up to you how you use them.
Sonic is our Hard Mode. Tails won't save you so test your skills and use the elemental shields to make your life easier.

-Levels-
Angel Island Zone
Adventure starts during the night at the Angel Island. Climb through waterfalls, ride down rope rides and refresh yourself in clear water!
Lava Mine Zone
Lava Mine is long ago abandoned mine and as the name suggests, there's some lava to be expected. Act 2 takes you deeper into the mine. There you'll find many alternative paths and water?!
Azure Lake Zone
Azure Lake is an ancient ruins-themed Zone. Taking place at the water's edge of the namesake lake, the background features a grand landscape of forest and rocky mountains. Skies are blue-colored. Azure Lake also has purple-colored landmasses and fallen Tree trunks. Act 2 take's you closer to the mountains and the dam that keeps water at bay, but below the dam you can find some water.
Balloon Park Act 1
This Amusement Park features only act 1 in this demo, but it's more than enough to enjoy carnival theme with popping balloons and having fun at the fun house and take part to the Trapeze performance.
Chrome Gadget Act 1
Chrome Gadget is Doctor Robotnik's base, were he manufactures Animal capsules. Danger lurks in every corner! Beware of the electrified floors!
Launch Base Act 2
Newly added water chase sequence awaits you before you make your way to the doctor's rocket for the final encounter! Are you ready?
Lucky Shot Bonus Stage
When you have 20 - 34 rings, touching a checkpoint takes you to a brand new bonus stage: Lucky Shot! Bounce from the springs to the Gumball Machine and get those goodies! Don't forget to grab 2 ring monitors before you exit!
Gumball Machine Bonus Stage
Starting from 35 Rings touching a checkpoint takes you to a Gumball Machine. This time there ain't as many springs as in original Sonic 3 so be carefull!

Items: ones we all love. They grand us many helpful things, but sometimes there might be harmful ones too!
Super Ring
This power-up monitor is worth ten (10) gold rings
Invincibility
No badniks can harm Sonic or Tails when they activate this icon and become invincible for a short time. Some moving objects are stil harmful, so be careful.
Flame Shield
Protects Sonic and Tails from fire attacks and Lava. When this shield is activated Sonic can perform a mid-air ''Fireball Spin Dash'' by leaping into the air.
Water Shield
Sonic and Tails can breathe underwater. When this shied is activated Sonic can perform bounce move!
Lighting Shield
When activated, gold rings will gravitate towards Sonic and Tails. This shield will protect from electric attacks and Electrified floor's. While this shield is active, Sonic can double jump.
Power Sneaker
Helps you run super sonic fast!
Weak Sneaker
DANGER! Activating this power-down decreases your speed. It's effect will wear off over time and instantly in the water.
Robotnik
DANGER! Activating this power-down causes the same damage as a Badnik attack!
1-Up
This power-up contains one extra life for Sonic or Tails.
What has changed compared to last year?
Angel Island Act 1
Platforms and objects shared same color with background making it difficult to tell the difference at times. There are no more leaps of faith, making it easier to tell where to go. New checkpoint added before Waterfall Cutscene. Minibosse's spikes has been removed making underwater fight more manageable.
Angel Island Act 2
Unfair spike traps has been turned into springs. First Waterfall made more fair.
Lava Mine Act 1
No more instadeath lava. Only real lava portet straight from S&K. New checkpoint added before the real miniboss.
Lava Mine Act 2
No more instadeath lava. Only real lava. Extra life sound effect glitch fixed.
New Levels addet
Azure Lake Zone, Balloon Park Act 1 and Chrome Gadget Act 1 are now playable.
Launch Base Act 2
Starting from familiar ground in Knuckles area, ending in new water chase section, then climbing to the rocket to face Mad Doctor in Final Encounter!
Miscellaneous things
Player's start with 10 lifes, Golden S Balls added to the Bonus Stages granting player a Continue. Change to get one is 1/15, Level Select Icons changed from Sonic 2 icons to Sonic 3 icons. Every level theme has been remixed and edited. Hitting Slow Sneakers monitor make's Sonic and Tails Shoes change color to gray until the effect wears out. Game works on Real Sega Megadrive/Genesis
Doctor Robotnik's Diabolical Traps
In Angel Island after defeating miniboss and entering Act 2, big red tree and few plants are filled with miniboss texturess. Unless player enters the Bonus Stage once or die. Once level reloads, big red tree and plants are fixed.
In Azure Lake after defeating miniboss, water surface won't load properly until player enters the Bonus Stage once or die. Once Level reloads, water surface is normal again.

You are correct, further testing indicates that glitch happens only when playing as Tails. Can be avoidet by jumping or taking alternative route by flying.
There is a persistant glitch in Azure lake zone act 1. If you take the lower route, after you take the first loop, there is a spring, hitting it cause the player to get pulled into and stuck in the wall.
