An April Fools 2026 Hack
In this very fair challenge with absolutely no dick moves whatsoever, you'll get Sonic to the end of 1 level of Oil Ocean.
Controls:
- Left / Right - Move
- A - Blink (Air-Curl in Air)
- B/C - Jump
- B - Double Jump
- C - Homing Attack
- Down + A/B/C - Spindash
- Up + A/B/C - Peelout

What was the joke?
Originally, this hack was inspiried by the fact that Selbi had once wnated to make an Oil Ocean level in the style of ERaZor, but then Sonic Mania had taken the fire, so I had thought up of a new gimmick for it instead.
Unlike ERaZor 8 though, this was not designed to be fair.
Thiss took me 2 months to finish, with a lot of on/off development.

Ending is reveal all, it's really good hack
I see the humour in this, but I didn't find it very difficult. I'm assuming the insta-death pit under the boss area is intentional (same with having to reset after beating it)?
The volume and shaking were a bit much for my ears though, even if it is an April Fools joke. Nevertheless, it is a well-made joke hack, and I always appreciate that!

It's interesting playing a Sonic fan project with balanced difficulty, most are way too easy and a few are ridiculously hard. This shit's fun.
I can see the ERaZor inspiration that this hack has, neat!
However, it would have been more epic with a snowboard powerup smh
