Welcome to "Sonic 1 X4*"! Your all-characters-in-one experience!

Well, there you have it! Sonic 1 X4! The main purpose of this mod is to be able to play as Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, and Amy all at the same time!

This is a mod for the 2013 Retro Engine conversion of Sonic the Hedgehog.**

Taking advantage of the game's already-made Player 2 Object script, this mod features consecutive third and fourth players, filled in with Knuckles and Amy.***

Pressing the Select button (usually assigned to the tab key on the keyboard), will allow you to switch characters.

The SHC 2023 Showcase version of this mod currently only includes the ability to switch characters, but hopefully in the future more content will be added!

*The X4 in the game's title basically means "Sonic 1 times 4", as in four player control.

**This mod has only been tested on the 2013 remake of Sonic 1, meaning that it may not work properly on the Sonic Origins or Mobile versions of the game.

***Due to the amount of players, it may get a bit chaotic at times!
