Belated Date Updates
By Naoto @ 2026-09-29 16:42:33Good evening everyone! We come to you with an urgent set of updates regarding the submission deadline and contest dates.
Firstly, we have decided to extend the submission deadline to October 5th, 2026 (8:00 AM BST) in order to give people the weekend to polish up their entries and listings on the website. We originally wanted to give entrants a submission period of 14 days prior to the website-related delay, but shortened it to 10 in order to give Judges more time to evaluate entries in the event of a massive turn out. However, it does not appear that will be necessary, so we are giving those additional 4 days back to you guys. In the future, we will ensure the submission deadline is a fixed length of 2 weeks and lines up with a weekend in this way, as we understand extending it like this less than a day and a half is far from ideal, and we know this.
Additionally, it appears our math was off and the event period was a duration of 8 days and 8 hours rather than at least 9 days, so we have corrected those dates and clarified the opening and closure times as well. Please, take a look:
Beginning of Contest Period: October 23rd, 2026 (12:00 AM BST)
Ending of Voting Period: November 1st, 2026 (8:00 AM BST)
Lastly, the form for teaser trailer footage applications is now open! The deadline for footage applications is October 8th, 2026 (8:00 AM BST), same as the critical bugfix deadline.

What is funny is that you are banned from the SHC Discord, but somehow you can log in to the SHC website (and submit entries...). What is going on ?

I would have thought they would have sent an e-mail to you to explain why it was rejected ?
But then I sent an e-mail to them on 21/9/2026, and no reply has been sent (5 weeks..., how do you say in English, take the cake ?). I have been told that the people in charge of the SHC email don't check it often, and it can take months before they get off their butts... I fail to believe that Naoto doesn't have a cell phone where he can check the SHC emails ?

They do.
We did, in fact, send that person an email, as we did with all other rejected entries prior to page deletion.
Furthermore, in reference to this email that you state you sent on September 21st of this year, there is no record of us ever having recieved an email from the address associated with you account in neither our current nor legacy inboxes. Please double check you sent it to the correct address.
In the contact page, it says:
shcontest<.>zone<@>gmail.com (without the “<>”s)
So I sent the email to (can you confirm it is correct ?): shcontest.zone@gmail.com
Nothing has come back saying the email was not correct. I am sure it has been sent? Can you check it did not go in your junk ?
